Poll: Trudeau, unlike Poilievre, lacks strong support

Bottom line is that the current leaders have had plenty of time to achieve sustainable improvements for voters and they have failed. Quality health care, lack of affordable housing, high immigration rates, basic cost of living and reasonable taxation have made up this voters mind.

NDP siding with Liberals cause it as such a great history of doing so. Useless party to be honest.

Another huge loss for the Canadian taxpayer. Ideology was wrong, process was wasteful and poorly designed from thee beginning. Huge taxpayers dollars spent with an extremely low return on investment.

Could someone explain how this is legal? It is not crown land so therefore they are trespassing and should be dealt with by police for removal of all structures?

There is no legitimate reason for the Mayor to use a city-issued credit card for personal items even if the paperwork and reimbursement procedure is done properly. Why waste the time of Chirico's staff with the repayment of personal funds and the risk of certain funds not being allowed or reimbursed improperly? This issue still stinks.

Time to ask tough questions to our federal government. Why are taxes increasing in every facet of our lives but while seemingly quite able to have plenty of money for assisting with grants and loans to other countries? Canada has an unimaginable deficit, high taxation rate for citizens and yet seem to give money to help a very significant non-taxation base with our country, for new comers to our country and to folks not living ion our country. As a tax payer, I'm tapped out.

Funding is an obvious issue but more importantly is that over the last 10 years our governments have not promote a Canadian identity. In my opinion our governments have made us feel shameful of our heritage. We can't build a quality militia if we don't love our nation.

Not all people who consume alcohol are drunks. Alcohol is a legal purchase providing significant tax revenue. Consumers should be not restricted to government run options.

Has Canada hit a new low? Believing that WEF, UN and WHO organizations are helping Canada become independent are wrong. We are so concerned with being accepted by these groups through our financial support and changing our societal norms to support their causes that we have become completely absorbed by agendas. Paranoid? Absolutely not. Look around and see what direction we are headed and blaming Trump is absolutely part of international ideals. I agree that he is weird, opinionated, and unruly at times but you know what? he loves USA and wants to defend its structure. Canada is NOT defending itself at all, in fact this country has surrendered to to international agendas.

I'm glad the system is working for you Don. Immigration can be useful tool when resources advocate such need. The students and their families suggests blatant abuse of a poorly devised system. They’re not true asylum seekers, they are students (and families) who tried to get in the back door for permanent residence. Given our current situation for affordable housing and health care, rightful taxpayers are feeling a burden by overwhelming immigration rates.

I'd be more interested in reading stats on recovery and back to work rates for long-term disability cases. This article appears that long-term disability is eventual and standard for such work. Perhaps longer training programs are needed or at least, more scrutiny in selecting suitable candidates. Having stated that however, I do appreciate the potential for trauma that is inherent to this workforce.

Tim Horton's locations can be problematic for traffic. Given this involves a busy highway with no special turning lanes, this could have dire consequences.

Must be frustrating g to be held hostage by the police board annually. Increased costs are the only consistent words heard from this Chief. People must begin saying no to these increases that apparently are not making North Bay any safer.

You are incredibly naive to suggest a long term relationship with the US is ending. Changing yes but when you trade 75% of your commodities with a neighbouring country its would be ridiculous for it to end. People right now are so consumed by Trump they are shortsighted and suffer from short-term paranoia.

I'm not defending Trump necessarily, but look around these conflicts and tell us he and only he is the leader of warmongering. Is Trump the root cause of thee cartels in Mexico and most of South America? Is Trump the instigator in the conflicts of Iran?, Palestine?, Ukraine? Korea?, Pakistan? I'm not a super fan of Trump but at least acknowledge the other participants.

so infatuated with Trump and the belief he's the bad guy makes you incredible naive to what the alternative may be. Yes he's an idiot at times, and yes diversification is good for our economy but pretending to believe that Canada is better off without the USA is an idealogical theory based on your impression of Trump and not the USA once he is out of the picture.
