When public officials make personal purchases with taxpayer money, intentional or not, it chips away at the credibility of their office. Integrity isn't just about following rules—it's about embodying the values those rules are meant to uphold. Why should we allow an integrity committee to review this, especially when it will cost the city money? What is the logic behind this decision? True integrity would be demonstrated if the Mayor were to resign.
