He’s incredibly intelligent, unafraid to elevate things with class, and has made me a truly proud Canadian! Thank you, Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Thanks to Nicole Peltier for raising this issue and bringing it to the community’s attention. These shady practices by our mayor are not acceptable, yet he believes it’s his right to spend public money however he wants and claims he’s done nothing wrong because it’s his usual practice. This is wrong, and we need to keep monitoring this activity. Thanks again.

Excuse me, how much more money do we need to spend to figure out what the Mayor did was illegal? It needs be handled by NBPS, as it is referred under the criminal code as Breach of Trust and Theft over 5,000.(Section 122 Criminal Code - Breach if Trust by Public Officer.1- Applies specifically to public officials (e.g., mayors, councillors, government employees).2-Occurs when a public officer knowingly and intentionally violates the duties of their office for personal gain or to harm another.3-Penalty: up to 5 years imprisonment if prosecuted as an indictable offence, or lesser penalties if prosecuted summarily

Finally, there's a person willing to do the right thing, and do the work to create a proposal in order to jump through the latest hoop set up by the Ford Government! It is important to the success of a community to have systems and resources in place in order to properly treat individuals suffering with Mental Health and Addictions! Hats off to the Mayor of Sault Ste Marie, they are lucky to have him.I challenge our Mayor and council to step up to the plate, get a proposal in place and do the right thing instead of sticking their heads in the sand.

In my opinion Rusty needs to be returned to it's rightful owner! What kind of person, or organization would not return the cat to the family? A sick one!

Trump is a lunatic....if you give him any credit for what we are creating, you are agreeing to the lunacy!!

He is not a healthy person, he is violent, and 911 should be contacted next time. This situation might have gotten out of control, with either him or someone else getting hurt. In that case, who would be blamed for escalating it? You can bet Doug Ford wouldn't face any consequences, except possibly using it as an ego boost!

Angels are among us, this act of courage and selflessness saved a life. Well done.

American's are infected with madness....this election reflects that true fact! The definition of madness is doing something over and over again expecting a different result! God bless America! I have learned to be grateful for 🍁 Canada today.

Sarahs Mom...I hear you. The Ford government's approach to health and welfare has been a hot topic. There have been significant cuts and funding issues in Ontario's health care system. While there have been some efforts to address these concerns, like the recent $3.1 billion health-care funding deal with the federal government. There is many of us that feel that more needs to be done to prioritize health and welfare over other initiatives. It's a complex situation, and it's clear that many Ontarians share your frustration.

What about the Mayor here in North Bay—doesn’t that call for a review? Isn’t he someone Mr. Fedeli might be interested in as well? Public confidence in our Mayor and council really needs a serious boost to restore integrity to North Bay and improve the way the city is cared for.

Enough is enough! The wrongdoing has been proven with evidence in a recent post. The elected officials responsible for our city have created a situation without realizing the impact it’s having on the community’s morale. It must be a pretty stressful job trying to be an honest public servant here in North Bay. Good luck with your new job, and wishing you better days ahead in Sudbury.

Thanks for your time and effort. Honestly, this feels like just more of the same runaround regarding the Mayor’s lack of integrity in using public funds for personal purchases! Filing a complaint with the integrity commissioner seems pointless since they can’t actually solve the issue! It’s clearly a waste of money too! We need to bring this to the legal authorities to push for the changes North Bay really needs!

Chirico in that position? It all seems like a real slap in the face for the people in our community, don't you think?

How about using the money to build income-based housing and a permanent shelter for the homeless in our community?

Dear North Bay Council,As you enjoy your coffee or tea at the new rink, please take a moment to remember those in our community who are living in poverty and experiencing homelessness. While the new rink is a wonderful addition to our city, we must not forget the pressing issues that many of our fellow citizens face daily. Let's work together to ensure that everyone in North Bay has the support and resources they need to thrive.

Animal hoarding is a serious issue, and it appears to be a reason in this situation with the owner of this organization in the adoption contract rules set by PetSave. The owner has excessive control over pets being adopted out. Rusty needs to be returned to the owner—why would she choose actions that could harm a child in this?

Integrity, at its core, is about doing the right thing even when no one is watching. It means honesty, accountability, and honoring the trust others place in you—especially in public service. So when a mayor uses public funds or a city-issued credit card for personal purchases like a golf membership, even if later repaid, it understandably raises serious questions about judgment and ethics. The real issue here isn’t just about receipts—it’s about trust. When public officials make personal purchases with taxpayer money, intentional or not, it chips away at the credibility of their office. Integrity isn't just about following rules—it's about embodying the values those rules are meant to uphold. Why should we allow an integrity committee to review this, especially when it will cost the city money? What is the logic behind this decision? True integrity would be demonstrated if the Mayor were to resign.
