They seem to be the ones making the decisions. All we seem to hear about is "staff recommendations", when council can't make a proper decision.

BayToday 6Pendu Lum, I did your search and found that the government has provided close to $250,000 in funding to the local seniors in the past 3 years but none of it was to support seniors with health care, rent, groceries, the basics for living healthy. All of it went community activities like dance, reading, a Can skate program, and other obscure programs that do not pose any real benefit. All of it fluff to try and make themselves look good. Answer me this, why are we spending billions on other countries but not taking care of our own. We need to look inward to provide proper support to our own aging population instead of giving it away. What will it take to get proper and affordable senior homes, LTC beds and properly running hospitals in this province. Many seniors cannot survive on their pensions.
