I just can't stand that whiny baby any more. He needs to step down so that real conservatives can retake the Party and come up with solutions instead of complaints.

Why? It's not going to please everyone and there's going to be some belt tightening but Carney is the only leader I can trust to help us weather the Trump years.

I agree with some of what you say. But I'm impressed with Carney out there working to build and strengthen relationships. In less than a year, he's got the EU Strategic Partnership, the Canada-Quatar Economic Partnership, and the Canada-China Trade Deal. Not a lot but a good start. The ev car deal with China is a good hedge over what Trump might do to our auto industry. Our deal with China may lead to using future idled assembly plants to further assemble Chinese ev cars to North American and EU standards.

A vote for Carney is a vote for democracy. A vote for Poilievre is a vote for Trump. It all comes down to that.

Speed cameras should be mandatory in every school zone.

There is only one person responsible, and he's not Canadian.

That is an excellent recommendation, Ms Caputo. Our local restaurants should also consider changes in suppliers.

How is Canada broken? And what are your solutions to fix each break?

Very insightful and no-nonsense. Thank you. We should feel some reassurance that Algoma will have long term prosperity since it can get temporary assistance from our federal and provincial governments. As Canada transitions away from heavy reliance on U.S. trade, so will Algoma Steel.

The Downtown Plaza is an excellent venue for this type of community event. I hope a couple of vendors are permitted within those hours. Dress warm.Go Jays!

The anti vax movement continues to mystify me. I'm old enough to remember two kids in my neighbourhood who had polio. Measles and whooping cough were also extremely dangerous. My parents were thrilled when the schools administered vaccines so that the whole neighbourhood was safe.

I attribute the spread of Elbows Up rallies to the recently retired NDP MP Charlie Angus who is promoting them across Canada. These are non-partisan events. Some of you wish it was partisan so that it can be criticized. This was not a Liberal event. Terry Sheehan chose to go. Hugh Stevenson could have chosen to go.

I support what Fedeli and the Ford government are doing for our steel mill and our community. Now, with proximity to steel and tubular products, Springer Aerospace and JD Aero, and a good college that can produce a qualified work force, the Sault needs to attract drone and other defense manufacturers to build secondary manufacturing facilities that we desperately need for long term stability and (dare I say it?)... growth.

We are all Canadians, together, during these troubling times.

That brings to mind why non-university educated white voters are Trump's biggest base. Critical thinking needs to be taught in all U.S. high schools (and Canadian) to create a better functioning democracy.

What a game! I'm tired this morning so I can just imagine how the athletes are feeling. Plus, there's another game tonight. Go Jays!

I looked it up. Ontario does have the lowest level of post-secondary education funding in Canada.Let's use some of that 401 tunnel money for education.

There have been voices for the past 50 years to build alternating passing lanes. The recent work on Highway 17 just north of the city could easily have accommodated that.

I am disappointed in people who are anti-vaxers when the dangers of these viruses are so clear. Being anti can be a mindset. Shake it off. Look what's happened to the Americans.

For once, can't you negative nellies just back off. So much of what is happening is beyond the plant's control. We all need to stand together now and be prepared to help those who will need it. After all, we want to continue to keep the Sault a good place to come from.
