So let me get this straight City Hall and city Council knows we’re not to buy a house but the rest of us don’t. That makes a lot of sense.
The fact is what they spent on the police station they could’ve built a new station in that parking lot. But the city ruled that out claiming tht land was contaminated.. so instead they spent tremendous amount of money and a lawsuit renovating the station they’re in. Did this land magically clean itself.. due to the cost of all the mistakes they’ve made plus building a library that nobody really wanted . Then it three years to do construction on York Road .Now they want to build a building with 400 units and only 95 parking spots directly across the street from this building. And then eliminate any park in the downtown if we do not switch the mayor And council in November. We will definitely be going into bankruptcy just like that other small town up north..
The UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH is very fortunate to have land to build student housing. The students should live where they go to school instead of spending, tremendous hours travelling back-and-forth it’s had to believe they will not replace those trees when they are a are a horticulture veterinarian school . this will create jobs and bring more money to Guelph win win win for everybody.
