2The town really can't claim town status anymore, but they are doing so because they refuse to implement the responsibilities of a city. And thus, because they are cheating and remaining a town, they use this as justification to avoid most things that cities would require. And thus you have noise violations, parking violations, and endless unaddressed problems with cleaning and maintenance. The town (city) of Okotoks needs to grow up and realize they are no longer the village of the past.
