LOL, keep printing money. Temporary Village 5 Million, get lost. Keep handing out money. It all falls on the residential tax payer!

Ridiculous! More so on how lazy of a society we have become. You can't walk a couple hundred metres to either Junot or Clarkson lol? This is right at the McDonald's exit and will even cause more congestion between those 2 lights now. The one at the hospital makes sense for sure but this is insane.

Big joke! Keep sprawling Thunder Bay, can't support its existing infrastructure. How about we cut some positions within the city?? The residents suffer again.

Ya well, lets just tuck homelessness away in a bush where they have no services available close by...should end well.

They built it too big! Now they are asking the public for $24 million dollars, get lost. What they should have done is teamed up with Science North and built a Art Gallery/Science North building half and half. Science North now has to look for land as well. Now you are taking up 2 parcels of real estate but that would make too much cents, ha!

Wow, the city says put this over there, spend taxpaying money..we don't wanna deal with it and spend more taxpaying money managing this mess.

Great Michael! Unfortunately this should have been a private development project. The average "middle class" citizen is already drowning in taxes and will be more so cause of this building! People as barely getting by and I am not sure people can donate to something that shouldn't be built but the tax paying citizens! It was definitely needed and many sports and youth will use but built by the wrong money.

Why are most projects starting in July? Do they start their tender process too late? No wonder why anything get finished and runs into the following spring.

What does this have to do with "This City". It just makes news in "this smaller city" but this type of stuff happens everyday in larger cities as well and goes unknown. It's a cause of the society we are living in.

Sorry, what does this have to do with the "town". This is a cause of sociatal problems faced across the country and world. You just don't hear about these types of occurrences in larger cities as they don't usually make the news.

The ole boys club. Don't worry, taxes will probably be up 5-6% next year, they'll throw some in on water rates to. But wait till the other sports clubs come looking for their indoor facility! But wait, who's going to pay for the $30Mil infrastructure shortage?? But wait, who's going to pay for the 50-70Mil new police hq that's coming down the road? Taxpayers sure have a lot of money don't they? Like a Bollywood movie.

It's just going to get worse. Indoor turf facility, new police hq, north artery road, 30-50 mill behind if infrastructure spending. Compounding tax/water rates and we can never catch up. We just don't have the industrial tax base anymore and most of the burden is on residential taxes! The divide between the ultra rich and middle class with further even more.

Lol, mostly all high end expensive rental units...can't fix the housing 'crisis' unless you build low income, middle class affordable housing.
