Decommissioning, demolition of West Ferris Arena recommended ahead of committee debate

As a former employee of the city of north bay and a employee who spent 20 years working in that building it’s not as old as the memorial gardens.Gardens was put up in 1955 and has gone through extensive renovations so I’m sure if the city puts a1/3 of the money they put into the gardens into West Ferris you would have a awesome 4 season building for everything but hockey. Do some renovations save the building.Just don’t tear it down and do nothing with the land! Because if you remember when they took out the ballparks behind the arena there was supposed to have been walking trails benches and picnic tables and beautified for people to enjoy they don’t even cut the grass back there.just saying if you’re going to take it down don’t leave it like vacant lot
