This is the biggest issue, and has been for a long time. As Carolyne stated, addicted persons need to be able to access supports when they are ready. Funding is needed in this area to provide more detox beds NOW.
No. I agree that women would have a better advantage if it's women only training. Having said that they should offer the same free training for men only.
Less taxpayers will be living in our city if this continues. More & more will move to rural areas away from this eyesore. A solution must be found now. Stop enabling these people who have no problem finding indoor shelter during the winter months.
The venue is the reason we don't attend. There's only one way / road and it's a nightmare getting in and out. Great line-up and indiv tix should have been available to maximize attendance for those who can't afford a weekend pass.
It will become another eyesore with garbage strewn everywhere. Community services will provide clean drug paraphernalia, bbqs & propane tanks. Scrap wood and grocery carts will be placed for fencing and stolen lawn furniture to sit on outdoors.
I would like to see a lot of changes and soon. Our tax dollars are being abused by social programs that don't appear to be making a dent (tent cities, substance abuse run rampant and no mental health or addiction treatment facilities available). Criminals are charged and released to commit more crimes. There is no accountability for bad behaviour. By proxy, we taxpayers have become enablers - this is not what I voted for. Our 'rights' are not considered despite working, at a job, for the 'luxuries' we earned while paying taxes. We are fed up with the freeloaders who continue to become more brazen and have more rights than us.
Is a daily fee no longer available for out of town one-time visitors? Will parents utilize the splash pad / rink / skate boarding park / children's play area if they have to pay to park? Perhaps we can put up a tent all summer and just walk.
