How is that not attempted murder or assault at the very least and yet it takes the police 2 hours to show up and says nothing can be done… witnesses, License plate and drivers picture available.. Something is terribly wrong with our judicial system😡

SooToday 44I don’t know who schedules snowbank removal but for gawd sakes why oh why would you schedule Great Northern Rd to be done on a Monday day shift or any weekday day shift when there is such a heavy flow of traffic..Why would it not be done on a night shift or even a weekend day shift when traffic is so much more minimal..And don’t tell me the contracted trucks don’t work nights because if they want the business they will work any shift the city says.. Snow Bank removal could be done on the quieter less congested streets on week days.. Use just a bit of common sense man..

SooToday 44I think ANY driver that has accumulated more than 3 minor driving infractions in a calendar year should be required to re-test. anyone can get one ticket or even a goofy second ticket but three in a year requires attention and the drivers insurance company should automatically be notified.. ANY driver requardless of race or colour ticketed for impaired driving, stunt driving, or dangerous driving, need longer driving suspensions and MUST do a ministry approved drivers training course. We need stiffer penalties for theses last three type of charges..We have way too many unskilled dangerous drivers on our roads. Police and MTO need to crack down.

All area school buses cancelled due to icy roads
SooToday 12I’ve driven school bus for 3 years in the early 90s through heavy snow and never once have the buses been cancelled. Hundreds and hundreds of kids are driven to school every day by their parents Thousands and thousands drive to work every day. Some from Goulais and as far away as Thessalon .. I know I will get the sour faced chippers but I mean really.. We have had snow here since forever.. 🤷🏻♂️

You won't believe how much snow has been hauled away by the city
SooToday 10I have no problem keeping my part of the driveway done but the bank is now three feet onto road allowance and seven feet high and I’m at the bottom of a hill with dozen commercial trucks and loaders coming down the hill. Not to mention the cars that use the hill like the 31st airborne. We have 3 private residences that use the same driveway entrances.. Last year we had the banks removed at our own expense but all the city done was raise our taxes..

SooToday 3I think this city should be using unbiased Engineer Consultants instead of having these young Engineers that have no life experience.. My personal thought is only those with a minimum 10 yrs experience with a reputable consulting firm before being hired by the city..
