Congratulations Mr. Ford. Your health care policies have set a new record.

It is good too see that we have at least one member of council trying to be transparent. There are two others who might step up as well but that still leaves the group of seven. We know those seven will fight to keep as much as they possibly can behind closed doors. Horsfield, Mallah, King, Gardiner, Mitchell, Mayne and Bain

I do not always agree with what Ford says. But in this case he was 100% correct.

I am sure that the added frustration from the catch and release system that is currently in place does not help. It must be very stressful where an officer does his or her job in making an arrest. Only to have the "suspect" released then having to arrest that "suspect" for the same offences over and over again.

Why is the gathering Place so secretive about their books? They said they were in financial trouble because of an oversite in making payments to Revenue Canada. They laid staff off and Dennis Chippa said he took a pay cut. Now they have asked for $140,000 of tax payers money from the DNSSAB. The DNSSAB asked for documentation to support the request but the Gathering Place has apparently refused to hand over the requested information or submit any financial statements at all. Until they open their books and submit everything showing where the money is being spent I feel that not another dollar of tax payer money should be supplied to them.

Is the Gretzky name now toxic?

Many people who were once considered to be great Canadians have had their names removed from public buildings, schools and have even had their statues taken down. One thing different about all those is they never left Canada. Gretsky on the other hand has not lived in Canada for a long time. He has thrown his support behind a man that wants to get rid of Canada as a country. Trump even said that his friend Greztky would be a good governor for the 51st state. Never once has Gretzky said anything about that. He has only let it be known that he supports Donald Trump the one that wants to get rid of Canada as a country. That in my opinion makes him a traitor.

More junk added to the eyesore. Is that a real fire hydrant almost blocked off by junk? If so I am pretty sure all fire hydrants and on CITY property is that is the case why is he being allowed to display his junk on CITY property?

I have never cared much for Doug Ford and care even less for out local MPP. But I will give credit where credit is due. It is nice to see Doug Ford standing up for not only Ontario but the whole of Canada. I wish the Federal Government would come on board and hit Elon Musk even deep in his pocket book by banning the sale of or putting a 100 percent tax on tesla and anything else pertaining to that wannbe dictator.

Hope the OPP do and include their investigation to include the group ii of seven. I hate to compare this to what is going south of the border. That said what power does our dishonorable have in then to make them to support him?

Nothing wrong?Buying dog food and cigarettes using a corporate credit card is not wrong?Paying for golf using a corporate credit care is not wrong?Other personal expenses with no receipts is not wrong? In his own words "In my previous role in the private sector, banking, finance, and chamber, entertaining and conducting business in those settings was common and effective,"Does this mean he thinks using a corporate card for personal expenses is normal?Maybe his previous employers should open their books and see just how much of their money was used for his personal expenses. If he is so absent minded that he didn't realize on multiple occasions that he was using a corporate credit card for his personal use. In my opinion anyone who is that absent minded is not fit for office. He should resign immediately.

Don't forget the state of our health care system. Hospitals being forced to cut jobs including nurses due to lack of funding.10 million given to one of his buddies for a strip club.75 million for an add that further damaged relations with us and the US. He spends money like it is water and for what? What did we the tax payers get from him wasting 85 million on just those two things i have mentioned?

We are stuck with a mayor who refuses to step down despite the fact that he is being investigated by the OPP. The Inspector General of Policing has commenced an investigation into his actions and has removed him from the North Bay Police service board. He has openly admitted to using tax payer's money for his own personal purchases. Now to add injury to insult we have the majority of council choosing to conduct business behind closed doors? What are they trying to hide? If there is nothing to hide then there is no reason for anything to be done behind closed doors. The sad thing is unless the OPP are fast with their investigation we could be stuck with Chirico as mayor until the next election which comes in the fall of 2026. The following will do all they can to keep him in power. Horsefield, Mallah, King, Gardiner, Mitchell, Mayne and Bain.Do not vote for the in 2026.

It would appear that he is exempt from bylaws. He had a trailers full of junk and an old motor home parked on McPhail street for the entire summer and even after overnight parking bans came into effect on November 1.

There is a group of seven that need to be taken to account. They all ran on a platform for transparency but when it came time to be transparent they are anything but. Then today in his letter to the editor Gary Gardiner made an attempt to make it appear this nothing more than a TV show. My hat goes off to and I thank the few councilors that are trying to the things they were elected to do. As for the rest of them I say they should hang their heads in shame. The right Dishonorable Mayor needs to be investigated for theft and possible fraud.

What is going on? First the gathering Place refusing to release statements now the ski hill. There is a simple cure for these two businesses and any other that seek tax payers money. If financial statements are not included with any request then such request should not even be considered. When it comes to the ski hill we all know what went on with the North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority. Perhaps the refusal to release financial statements will reveal things they want to hide.

Good bye Jay Aspin. You should never have been back on the board in the first place. Maybe the board making you and unelected trustee chair proved to the minister beyond doubt just how dysfunctional the board was.

I am wondering why they were serving 3 meals a day? I can only speak for myself but am pratty sure that the majority of people only eat two meals per day and are quite satisfied with that. Additionally they say it costs a whopping 50k per month for expenses and payroll. Whereas the majority of their funding comes from public coffers. the public is entitled to see a break down of where the money is going. We have that part of their downfall was because whoever is looking the books did not make payments to the Federal Government? Was this a one time mistake or had it been going one for awhile thus compounding the amount owed to the point where the building had to be remortgaged. We should also be informed as to how much that remortgaging cost, monthly payments, interest rate and duration of said mortgage.

It didn't take long for Fedeli to turn this into a photo op. Will it come to be or is it just going to be like everything else. The Northern Ontario Addiction Treatment Centre of Excellence that was supposed to have been open at the same site long ago. And don't forget Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek.
