Horsefield"s vision, regurgitated NDP talking points. We have spent 100's of millions, have countless agencies,100s of employees all to deal with 350 people. What would North Bay be like if we spent all that money and used all those resources to improve the city for the other 49,650 residents?

What a surprise, ask about illegal use of funds and quickly get thrown off the board. Just another Chirico cover up aided by Soendacino.

Without a doubt the single worst thing that will happen to North Bay.

North Bay contributes 2.5 million to Cassellholme. Since the councilors who are there to oversee that the money is properly spent have been removed from the board for questioning the expenditures, it's certainly Council's duty to investigate.

There is a 0% chance that this can be completed by year end 2025, which is the deadline for the Federal funding. There will be a new government by then that will not be supportive of this "green" initiative. What happens when we are stuck with the whole bill?

Bunch of clueless bureaucrats who have never been in the private sector. Seems all the projects by this low balling bidder never are done on time or conform to the requirements.

Another 3 million dollar vanity project brought by the TWG guy who wanted the city to spend 1.2mill on a failed marketing campaign.

Can anyone name any business venture that Canadore has been involved with that wasn’t a failure? I’m mistaken, the diploma mill business was a huge success, especially for some.

Why isn’t the report available to see before the meeting? It’s only 70 million, no need to ask questions.

@ambiIt’s a case of previous people who ran King st, with absolutely no success running this. 60 people will go in, mostly not from here, they are free to leave or will be thrown out for not following the rules, just like last time. Then they will stay here on the street. It’s also a money laundering scheme, the rent Canadore is paying is triple the going rate. Read the article, it’s all there.

If Mark King can’t get a building permit in a timely fashion how do you think the rest of us would fare?

The bylaw has been amended several times under Al to make it more restrictive, the Rennick effect.Time to change it back.

Aren’t these the same people who want to take over Castle Arms? What could go wrong?😂

No search, no process, a certainty from the beginning.

How come the ski hill keeps getting money with no accountability? Same exact problem, mismanagement and Board incompetence. I guess if you’re Chair is the Mayor’s campaign manager you don’t have to answer questions.

As in almost all things regarding this council, the 7 rely entirely on staff, they don't act in any way independently, so in this case they just let the Clerk decide what goes in camera, completely abdicating their responsibility. The Clerk merely does Peter's bidding.

@itscommonsenseI know lots of things, I know people far more qualified who applied and didn’t get an interview. Just like the sham process for the CAO.

How many projects has this group successfully built or financed previously?

The usual smoke and mirrors, spending is going up far more than 3.73%. Using all these 1 time revenues, which shouldn't be a surprise when the first quarter of this year is already over,is hardly fiscal prudence. Salaries will be going up far more than the 3% budgeted. we will be paying substantially more interest on the rink and Cassellhome next year along with a large drop in interest income.Looked closer at revenue lines...how about looking closer at expenses? This city is in for a rude awakening when the "transferred from reserves" train goes off the tracks
